Details Itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu (1400M). overnight at hotel.
Arrival day in Kathmandu (Private transportation, Welcome to Himalayan country of Nepal. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan intl. airport our representative welcomes you and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu (1,400m). After time to get refreshed, evening you will meet and transfer for welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepalese restaurants in the heart of Kathmandu and after meal briefing about your trip and overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing:
Morning:
- Start your day with a visit to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. Take a walk around the stupa, soak in the spiritual ambiance, and observe the locals going about their daily rituals.
- Next, head to Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Explore the temple complex, witness the cremation rituals along the Bagmati River, and gain insights into Hindu traditions and culture.
Afternoon: - Enjoy a traditional Nepali lunch at a local restaurant, where you can sample authentic Nepali cuisine.
- Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kathmandu Durbar Square, located in the heart of the city. Marvel at the ancient palaces, temples, and intricate woodwork while learning about the history and architecture of the area.
- Take a short walk to the nearby Kumari Ghar, the residence of the living goddess, Kumari. If you're lucky, you may get a glimpse of the Kumari during her scheduled appearance.
Evening: - End your day with a visit to the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. Climb the stairs to reach the hilltop and enjoy panoramic views of Kathmandu city. Explore the stupa complex, observe the resident monkeys, and soak in the serene atmosphere as the sun sets.
Day 03: Drive or fly to Pokhara(950M)
Morning drive (Approx. 7 hrs) or fly (25 Min) to Pokhara. Transfer to the Hotel. Walk around the Phewa lake and city. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Pokhara to Hile to Ulleri(2020M)
Pokahra to Hile by jeep and trek to Ulleri (2020 m /2-hour trek to Ulleri). The trail winds its way through bamboo forests and passes by a spectacular waterfall.
Day 05: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2775 M)
The Annapurna South (7273m) and the Hiunchuli gradually unfold on this pleasant walk uphill through fields and pastures and later through rhododendrons and oak woods. Ghorepani was originally a horse watering post, which has evolved into an important crossroads for tourists and the numerous mule caravans on the Jomoson-Pokhara trip. Overnight at tea house lodge.
Day 06: Ghorepani - Poonhill (3193 M) – tadapani (2540 M)
We leave early morning for Poon Hill, to catch the early morning sunlight on the panorama of peaks: Dhaulaghiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchare. This is an option but really worth the while. We then retrace our steps to Ghorepani and continue towards Tadapani through rhododendron woods. Overnight at Tea house lodge.
Day 07: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940M)
The trail gently descends through a subtropical forest highlighted by huge bamboo massifs and giant rhododendrons. Ghandruk is beautiful and big village of the Gurung tribe, warriors known for their contribution to the famous Gurkha regiments. We will visit the Ghandruk village and small traditional museum in the afternoon. Overnight at Tea house lodge.
Day 08: Ghandruk to Pokhara:
After the breakfast, we continue our descent to the Kimche village paasing through terraced fields and beautiful villages, which will take about one hour walk. We will catch jeep from Kimche and drive to Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09: Drive or flight to Kathmandu.
Morning drive or flight back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Final departure:
Transfer to airport for final departure to onward destination.
